Bruno (2009)
The gay austrian fashion reporter Bruno (Sacha Baron Cohen) brings a whole new meaning to the word Controversy. However this makes for great cinema going as it reflects on many different groups in American society
Originally Bruno was granted a 15 rating but after inserting the sexual scene an 18 rating is certainly fit for such a controversial and rude mannered film. Hilarious as it is, Bruno has a much deeper message, the idea of an outsiders fight to be recognised in a place where he is new.
Featuring famous political faces and some rather (if frank) shocking people Bruno will shock audiences.
Filmed like a documentary Bruno features real-life situations with a fictional character trying to make in the American entertainment industry (quite badly I may add)
In Conclusion, If you love a laugh and want to see something new and ultimatley shocking that gives you an insight into American life and what society is really like
I give Bruno 7/10
